See London’s Most Iconic Landmarks and Locations in a Private Tour by Car

Day 1
The tour will depart from Leicester Square and pass notable landmarks such as the Royal Court of Justice, Holborn, and Russel Square. The journey continues with a glimpse of the British Museum, Kings Cross – St Pancras, the British Library, and Euston station to carry on towards Madame Tussauds, Paddington, Marble Arch, and the majestic Queen Elizabeth Gate. The tour will drive through Knightsbridge, home to the famous Royal Albert Hall, and the renowned Natural History and Science Museums, followed by a glimpse of the Victoria & Albert Museum and the historic Harrods department store.

Heading towards Hyde Park Corner and Westminster, you’ll have the opportunity to witness the traditional Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace at 10:45am as you join the crowd gathered outside, the air hums with anticipation for the spectacle about to unfold.

Next is the iconic Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament – with the chance to enter Westminster Abbey, before stopping for a 2 or 3 course meal with a drink at a selected pub or restaurant. Next is Whitehall, including Cenotaph, 10 Downing Street, and Trafalgar Square, and then Oxford Street, Bond Street, and a quick stop at the vibrant Carnaby Street for some shopping or sightseeing.

As we drive by Notting Hill and Portobello Road, you’ll catch glimpses of the charming streets and colourful houses synonymous with this area. Our final leg includes a drive by Camden Town and Regent’s Park, where we’ll make a half-hour stop at the lively Camden Market.

Day 2
After hotel pick-up the tour will head into the heart of London, passing iconic landmarks such as Charing Cross, Embankment, Temple, Blackfriars, and St Paul’s Cathedral. As you journey through the city, your guide will provide fascinating insights into its history and architecture. Arrive at the historic Tower of London, where you’ll delve into centuries of British history.

Explore the castle’s imposing walls, discover the Crown Jewels, and learn about the Tower’s infamous past, including its use as a royal palace, prison, and treasury.

Next, your guide will take you to a charming pub or restaurant, where you’ll enjoy a hearty 2-course meal and a refreshing soft drink. After lunch, cross the iconic Tower Bridge and continue your journey along the Thames. Pass by London Bridge, Southwark, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Tate Modern, Waterloo, and the magnificent London Eye.

The tour will then head towards Canary Wharf, London’s bustling financial district, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the sleek skyscrapers and modern architecture of Docklands, including the iconic Gherkin building. Arrive in Greenwich, a charming riverside district steeped in maritime history. Spend some free time exploring Greenwich Park, visiting the Greenwich Royal Museums, or touring the legendary Cutty Sark clipper ship before wrapping up your day and tour.
