Windsor Castle
Start your journey at the world’s oldest and largest occupied castle, which also happens to be The King’s favourite weekend residence. Home to 39 British monarchs over the past 900 years, Windsor Castle is brimming with both history and splendour. You’ll marvel at the stunning State Apartments, which are decorated with paintings by the likes of Rubens and Holbein. The State Apartments are regularly used for ceremonial and official occasions and are furnished with some of the finest works of art from the Royal Collection.
St George’s Chapel is also must-see. It is an imposing Gothic building and the resting place for several British monarchs. These include Edward IV, who built the Chapel, Henry VIII and Jane Seymour, Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II. Services are held regularly, and this quiet church is a peaceful addition to a Windsor Castle visit. It also served as the wedding venue for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Roman Baths
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bath is a breathtakingly beautiful Georgian city with exquisite architecture and has some much to offer every visitor. In this tour you can see one of the most historical sites in the UK and get a glimpse of how the Romans made their mark! See how the town got its name with entry into the Roman Baths and complimentary audio guide. The Roman Baths may date back to 60AD but are surprisingly well preserved and offer a unique insight into the Roman way of life. Walk around this fascinating setting and take a sip of Bath’s waters in the Pump Room.
