Explore Greenwich with a Private Half Day Tour

Royal Naval College
As you see icons such as Cutty Sark – one of the fastest ships of its days and a dominant player in trading wool from Australia to England, you will arrive at Royal Naval College situated in a grand estate. Enter the magnificent Painted Hall, also known as the ‘Sistine Chapel of the UK’, and marvel at its grandeur. A true masterpiece, it boasts one of the most spectacular Baroque interiors in Europe and has been home to many movie sets across the years.

Royal Greenwich Park
Your visit will then continue through Royal Greenwich Park. Born as a royal hunting park in the 15^th century, the park is now part of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site, and home to more than 3000 trees and plants. Walk to the top of the hill for breathtaking views of the city.

Royal Observatory
Atop the hill also sits the Royal Observatory and London’s only planetarium. This iconic building is the home of Greenwich Mean Time, the famous Prime Meridian of the World – 0° 0’ 0”, and a museum of time and astronomy.  Explore the early Tompion clocks and displays of navigation at sea that show how Britain led the world in global exploration and trade, stand astride the very line that separates east and west, find out how the royal Astronomers used to live and work inside Flamsteed House, and touch a 4.5-billion-year-old meteorite.

The tour will end with free time at Greenwich market, where you can enjoy delicious food and explore the antiques and crafts.
